Experience the Rush at Monroe's

Rushified will bring the music of Rush to Monroe’s Live Backstage this Saturday, December 6, delivering the sound and spirit of one of rock’s most distinctive trios.

This exceptional tribute act draws on material from throughout Rush’s long history, playing familiar songs from the classic Broon era alongside tracks that the original band rarely included in their own sets.

For long-time followers of Rush, the show offers the chance to hear favourites revisited, and for newer listeners, it is a chance to discover a catalogue spanning almost five decades.

Rush’s career ran from 1968 to 2015. They produced 19 studio albums and 11 live releases, supported by more than two thousand performances worldwide.

With over 40 million records sold, and a run of consecutive gold and platinum albums surpassed only by The Beatles and The Rolling Stones, the group built a reputation that extended well beyond their genre.

Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson, and Neil Peart became known for a level of musicianship and ambition that drew the attention of fans and critics alike.

Their work influenced artists across generations, with musicians from Metallica, Primus, Tool, The Smashing Pumpkins and Foo Fighters pointing to Rush as an important reference point.

Rushified’s performances have been described by audience members as faithful, detailed and delivered with an appreciation for the original arrangements.

Listeners often remark on the familiarity of the sound and the sense of recognition that comes from hearing Rush’s material presented with care. For some, the experience has served as a reminder of what first drew them to the band; for others, it has been an introduction to music they had only encountered in passing.

Rushified’s visit offers an evening that brings together long-standing fans and those discovering the music for the first time.

Monroe’s Backstage venue provides an intimate environment for material that has filled arenas, making it an opportunity to experience Rush’s discography in close quarters.
