Galway boxer crowned national champion

Keelyn Mangan has been crowned the 2025 Irish Athletic Boxing Association (IABA) National Intermediate champion in the 60kg division at the National Stadium in Dublin on Saturday, November 29.

Keelyn Mangan has been crowned the 2025 Irish Athletic Boxing Association (IABA ) National Intermediate champion in the 60kg division at the National Stadium in Dublin on Saturday, November 29.

The Celtic Eagles BC Galway boxer was crowned following a ferociously contested battle with Ella McDonald of Corpus Christi BC Cork. The contest ended in a 3-2 decision for the Galway boxer.

Mangan is among 18 IABA National Intermediate champions to win in the capital over the weekend. Over 140 boxers entered the competition from clubs throughout the IABA. In excess of 120 bouts were fought over five days.
