The all-new Celebrity Xcel sets sail on its inaugural voyages

Celebrity's newest ship, the Celebrity Xcel, was launched last week from its home port of Fort Lauderdale, Florida. Its inaugural sailing was a 5-night Bahamas and Mexico sailing from November 18.

Staying in the Caribbean, Celebrity Xcel will sail seven-night Caribbean itineraries visiting the old favourites Cozumel, Grand Cayman, George Town, Puerto Plata, St. Thomas and St. Maarten.

Moving across the Atlantic, its homeport is in Barcelona, giving Europeans the opportunity to experience this new ship this coming Summer. She will be offering seven- and ten-night itineraries visiting Naples, Civitavecchia, Marseille, Santorini, Mykonos, Malta, and Turkey.

Celebrity Xcel is the fifth Edge-class ship, at 17 decks high, and it carries a maximum of 3,950 passengers and 1,400 crew.

Not renowned for its entertainment, Celebrity XCEL had introduced '254 West', an interactive, 80s-themed nightclub, and 'Hotel', a comedic, murder-mystery cabaret show. Both events are interactive shows that take place in The Club, and guests are encouraged to participate.

Celebrity is well known for its fine dining, and Celebrity Xcel does not disappoint with its four main dining rooms: Cyprus, Normandie, Cosmopolitan, and Tuscany.

The Oceanview Cafe is a buffet-style restaurant, and Le Grand Bistro is a quick grab-and-go option. Speciality dining options include Raw on 5, Le Voyage, Fine Cut Steakhouse and Murano.

If you have a special family occasion or birthday, this product is one of the most innovative there is.
