This opening marks the brand’s first expansion beyond Dublin and second brick-and-mortar retail store, a major milestone in its growth to celebrate a decade in business.

Earlier this month, independent Dublin brand Fresh Cuts announced the opening of its brand-new store in Galway, marking a major milestone in the homegrown label’s journey. The move brings Fresh Cuts’ considered collections to the west of Ireland for the very first time, just in time for Christmas.

From shopping Irish and gifting green to fashion with a cause at its very core, Irish brand Fresh Cuts embodies all of these elements for conscious gifting this Christmas. Located at 18 Abbeygate Street Lower, the new Galway store will showcase the brand’s full range of men’s and women’s collections, including the latest AW25 knitwear line, a true celebration of creativity, craftsmanship and conscious design.

Founded in 2015 by husband-and-wife duo Steven and Lorna Murphy, Fresh Cuts has spent the past decade pioneering ethical fashion in Ireland. Designed in Dublin and produced in partnership with transparent, long-standing suppliers, every Fresh Cuts piece is made from GOTS-certified organic cotton and lower-impact fabrics, reflecting the brand’s belief that fashion should be better made, longer lasting, and kinder to the planet.

“Opening in Galway is such a big moment for us. We are a small, independent brand growing in a way that still feels true to who we are,” says co-founder and creative director Lorna Murphy. “We’ve always wanted to bring Fresh Cuts beyond Dublin, and Galway felt like the perfect place for our next bricks and mortar store.”

This season, the AW25 knitwear collection embodies the same principles that have guided the brand from day one: design with intention, make with integrity, and celebrate what’s possible when sustainability meets style.

“As always, every piece was created using colours from dead stock yarns in our partner factory,” explains Lorna. “Working within the limits of what’s available always pushes me to design with imagination. It leads to something unexpected and special, as every collection feels like a new story.”

The AW25 collection introduces two new pieces, a knitted dress and a relaxed co-ord set, alongside refreshed versions of Fresh Cuts’ signature floral and striped knits. Rich purples, soft creams and playful checks bring warmth and personality to the collection, with each piece designed to be loved, lived in, and passed down.

“This collection feels like a love letter to craftsmanship, colour and the joy of design,” says Lorna. “It’s about creating pieces that hold meaning, comfort and longevity, the kind of knitwear you’ll treasure for years.”

The Galway store is open now with the full AW25 collection available in-store, online at freshcutsclothing.com and at the brand’s Dublin flagship on Castle Market.

For those looking to gift consciously this Christmas, Fresh Cuts continues to prove that Irish design can be independent, responsible, and truly stylish.
