Man produced multitool after being refused entry to pub

A man refused entry to a city pub by door staff produced what was described as a “multitool” implement in a threatening manner, it was alleged at Galway District Court.

Judge Fiona Lydon was told that Kevin Barry, Abbey House, Newcastle arrived at the door of a city pub and was refused entry. He became aggressive and shouted obscenities at the door staff. He was repeatedly told to stop, and when he produced the multitool the Gardaí were called.

A picture of the tool was presented to the Judge and she accepted jurisdiction of the case, which was adjourned until the January 5 sitting.
