Explorers of sea and land to feature in this month’s Kinvara Adventure Talks

The popular Kinvara Adventure Talks series is returning for its 11th season, with more tales and footage from people’s adventure travels around the globe.

Talks take place every Thursday at 8pm throughout November, in the side room of Tully’s Bar in Kinvara. There is a really high calibre of speakers again this year.

Tonight (November 6 ), Johnny Coyne will share stories about his latest expedition which involved kayaking from Dublin to Istanbul. This promises to be a talk full of wild adventures, challenges and an honest in a well told story.

Next week (November 13 ), round-the-world motorcyclist Ian Horan will share stories, wonderful drone footage and photos from his journey throughout Africa. Ian will give an insight into the various cultures, wildlife, people and challenges he met along the way.

Nuala Moore, who has pioneered extreme cold-water swims, will talk on November 20 about her world record swims, her relay swim from Russia to America, and being the first swimmer in the world to swim the meeting of the oceans south of Cape Horn. Nuala will also give insights into the benefits and risks of cold water swimming.

On November 27, the talk will be given by Kevin O’Sullivan, who began circumnavigating Ireland in his sea kayak in 2017. He completed the journey over the following three years, paddling the coastline in sections, allowing to balance adventure with a busy life schedule.
