Allie Sherlock began as a Cork busker

Cork singer-songwriter Allie Sherlock will perform at Monroe’s Live this Saturday, November 8, as part of her tour, Damage Control.

Support from on the night from Jon Poppii, with doors at 9pm.

At just 20 years old, Sherlock has built an impressive following, with more than six million YouTube subscribers, three million Instagram followers, and a TikTok audience exceeding 16 million.

Her journey began as a busker on the streets of Cork and Dublin, where her soulful voice drew early attention from passers-by and, later, global audiences online.

This year has been a landmark year for the young musician. She has spent much of it on the road, supporting artists such as Tom Grennan, Macklemore, The Script, and Olly Murs, as well as performing her own headline shows across Britain and Europe.

Her latest release, ‘I Don’t Need Saving’ showcases her growth as a songwriter and performer. Written with Josh Carruthers and Joey Eighty, the track reflects a personal storytelling style which she describes as “soulful pop, written from the heart.”

Her rise has also seen her share stages with major international artists, appear on The Ellen DeGeneres Show, and work with American producer Ryan Tedder of OneRepublic, who discovered her through social media after hearing her cover of Ed Sheeran’s ‘Supermarket Flowers’.

Between her growing catalogue of original music and live covers, Sherlock’s performances continue to bridge her beginnings as a busker, with her emergence as a respected young artist.

Closing out her Damage Control tour back in Ireland, she says it feels like a fitting end to an exciting year.
