Dacia has announced a refresh for its popular Sandero, Stepway, and Jogger models.
All three models feature new engines and the brand's light signature at the front and rear. Introduced on the Bigster, the new hybrid 155 powertrain is now available on Jogger, replacing the hybrid 140. It will be available on Sandero Stepway in the fourth quarter of 2026, giving it an electrified powertrain for the first time.
The hybrid 155 combines a 109hp 1.8-litre four-cylinder petrol engine, two electric motors (a 50hp motor and a high-voltage starter/generator ), a 1.4kWh battery (230V ) and an automatic electric gearbox with four gears for the ICE engine and two others for electric operation. This combined technology is made possible by the absence of a clutch.
This powerful new powertrain (155hp, 170Nm of torque ) and automatic gearbox deliver a 10 per cent reduction in emissions and fuel consumption compared with Jogger's previous hybrid 140 powertrain.
The 1.0-litre three-cylinder turbocharged petrol engine available on Sandero now delivers 100hp, compared with 90hp previously for improved day-to-day driveability. It is still coupled with a six-speed manual gearbox.
The Sandero Stepway receives a new TCe 110 variant of the 1.0-litre three-cylinder petrol engine with a six-speed manual gearbox – a considerable upgrade from the existing TCe 90.
Standard equipment includes a new 10-inch HD central touchscreen (eight-inch previously ), while new optional items include automatic headlights, multi-view camera and power folding door mirrors.
Irish pricing for the refreshed Dacia Sandero, Stepway and Jogger should be confirmed in time for the 261-registration period in January.
