Councillor Alan Cheevers is calling on the Galway City Council Transport Department to urgently address safety concerns on the Old Ballybrit Road, which connects Ballybane to Doughiska.
“I have serious concerns about the speed of traffic on this road,” said Councillor Cheevers. “We need to see urgent measures implemented before a serious accident occurs involving a motorist or pedestrian. I have raised this issue before, but nothing has been done. I am once again calling for immediate action to ensure the safety of everyone using this route.”
Councillor Cheevers emphasized that Old Ballybrit Road is a busy link between two major residential areas and that proactive steps are essential to prevent potential accidents.
