Singer-songwriter Niall McNamee will perform at Monroe’s Live, on Thursday, October 30, with doors opening at 7.30pm. Support on the night comes from Colin Andrew.
Fresh from releasing his debut album, Glass and Mirrors earlier this month, Niall explores themes of love, identity, and belonging, bringing together folk influences with the drive of contemporary rock.
It reflects his own journey from Ireland to London and the experiences that have shaped both his music and acting careers.
He moved to London at the age of seventeen, working on building sites while playing gigs in pubs and small venues across the city.
His early performances quickly built a loyal following and led to opportunities on stage and screen.
He began his acting career in London’s West End, starring as Romeo in Romeo and Juliet, before appearing in film and television productions including The Foreigner, where he featured in a major fight scene alongside Jackie Chan and Pierce Brosnan.
His dual career came together in the award-winning film Love Without Walls, in which he played the lead role of a struggling musician trying to survive on the streets of London.
He also wrote and performed the film’s soundtrack, earning critical praise for the music’s emotional depth and authenticity.
Glass and Mirrors has been warmly received by critics and fans alike.
Songs such as Moon Belongs to You and Another Life have been singled out for their honesty and melodic strength.
Niall has supported the likes of Declan O’Rourke, David Keenan, Junior Brother, The Dubliners, The Wolfe Tones, Louis Dunford and played the Isle of Wight and Cambridge Folk festivals.
His performance at Monroe’s Live will give Galway audiences the opportunity to hear his new material performed live at a key moment in his rising career.
Don’t miss Niall McNamee, with support from Colin Andrew, at Monroe’s Live on Thursday, October 30. Doors open at 7.30pm.
