Supporting women returning to work – Join a free employability event in Galway

As a Career Adviser with over 15 years experience, supporting many women wanting to return to the workforce, after leaving the workforce, I am delighted to support and attend this free interactive WorkEqual Employability Event.

WorkEqual is a registered charity based in Dublin, who hold events all over the country, supporting women who wish to enter or return to the workforce and hold the vision that that everyone’s skills and potential are recognised. To reach this goal, Work Equal provides targeted services and programmes to help women and marginalized people wanting to enter or re-enter employment and achieve economic independence.

Work Equal, formerly known as Dress for Success, is running this event in partnership with Penney’s/Primark Community Foundation Ireland, State Street Foundation along with Intreo Galway (Irish Public Employment Service ). This promises to be a great event which offers women practical, accessible support as they take their next steps on their journey to work.

This event is being held in the Galmont Hotel, Galway, on September 24 from 9:30- 2pm, and is free to attend. These events are usually booked out, so it is advisable that you book your ticket in advance. Spaces are limited to 50 people. You can sign up to attend through the WorkEqual website www.workequal.com

WorkEqual will provide 1 to 1 career advice, job readiness workshops and a styling talk with top tips for interview, helping women feel confident. There will also be a chance to hear from informative speakers about building confidence to help women ease back into the workplace. All of these services will be provided by a superb network of volunteers and bespoke initiatives.

The aim of this event is to empower participants to learn new employability skills and confidence for entering the workforce. Participants will also have the option of continuing to access WorkEqual’s free mentoring and coaching services after the event, for as long as needed.
