WorkEqual employment event in Galway

Registered charity WorkEqual is delighted to bring its employment support services to Galway for the first time.

On Tuesday, 24 September, WorkEqual will provide the free interactive employment event for 50 women at the Galmont Hotel & Spa from 9:30am – 2pm.

Women who wish to enter or return to the workforce often do not know where to begin or how to explain gaps in their CV. WorkEqual understands how difficult taking the first steps to employment can be.

Participants in the Galway event will all receive 1:1 career advice, take part in job-readiness workshops, and hear a styling talk with top tips for dressing for interview.

Everyone will leave the day equipped with new skills and confidence for entering the job market. Attendees will also have the option of continuing to access WorkEqual’s free mentoring and coaching services after the event, for as long as support is needed.

Attendees at the event will also learn about Galway’s public employment service, Intreo, find out about available training courses, and hear from local employers. These real-world opportunities give participants the chance to make connections to build their futures.

Founded in 2012, WorkEqual has built a nationwide network of volunteers and bespoke initiatives that have supported thousands of women across Ireland to move forward in their career journey. Clients consistently report that WorkEqual’s support boosts confidence during job searches, motivates them throughout the challenges of securing employment, and helps them succeed in interviews.

Thanks to the support of Penneys, Community Foundation Ireland, and State Street Foundation, along with Intreo, this Galway event offers women practical, accessible support as they take the next step in their journey into work.

This free event is limited to 50 women. Places can be reserved now via the contact page at www.workequal.ie or contact [email protected] for more information.
