The full programme for this year’s Galway Comedy Festival will be revealed tomorrow (Friday ). In the meantime, organisers have revealed that the Pálás Cinema will be a key venue for this year's festival, which runs from October 21 to 27.

The 70-strong line-up of artists will perform in 16 venues across Galway city and county, but Pálás Cinema will be the centre of activity. This unique cultural space will become the festival mothership for an entire week - and a little bit more. This means tons of live comedy, in unrivalled comfort and style, across three plush rooms.

"As part of our festival, we plan to turn Pálás Cinema into one of the finest comedy venues in Ireland," said Kevin Healy, director of Galway Comedy Festival. "We are very excited and grateful that Galway City Council are giving us a chance to breathe new life into the space. We're there for a good time, not a long time.”

Along with solo shows, mixed bills and live podcasts that will be announced tomorrow, you can expect team GCF to announce screenings of classic comedy movies, cartoons and some other comedy and Hallowe’en-related fun throughout the cinema’s spaces.

Comedy fans can get a sneak peek of the full #GCF25 line-up at the programme launch party at the Pálás this evening (Thursday ). The show will feature four superb artists from this year's festival programme: John Colleary, Aoife Dunne, Phill Jupitus and Eddie Mullarkey.

There are a limited number of programme launch tickets on sale now from roisindubh.net The full #GCF25 programme will be announced at 10am tomorrow. Tickets for all festival events will go on sale at GalwayComedyFestival.ie at 10am on Tuesday September 16.
