Exploring the Social Impact of the Diploma in Foundation Studies Access Programme at the University of Galway.

Invitation to Past Participants to Partake in a Research Study.

Did you complete the Diploma in Foundation Studies Access Programme at National University of Galway/University of Galway, from the years 1999 to 2025? If so, we would like to invite you to take part in a research study that is exploring the social impact i.e. what has changed for you because of your involvement in this programme, from when you completed it up to today.

This study is being carried out by a team of researchers at the UNESCO Child and Family Research Centre at the University of Galway. It is a Higher Education Authority funded project and forms part of the Access Centre’s Widening Access and Participation Project.

If you would like to take part in either one-to-one interviews or focus group interviews (either online or in person ) please fill out the short form available at: https://forms.office.com/e/Ch3TnTA04k

Interviews and Focus Groups will take between 30-60 minutes.

In particular, we would like to hear from those who were supported by the Access programme because they were socio-economically disadvantaged (at the time of completing the course ), and/or a member of the Irish Traveller or Roma communities and/or living with a disability.
