Burglary at Applegreen in Ardrahan

Gardaí in Loughrea are investigating a burglary that occurred at the Applegreen service station, Ardrahan, Co Galway on Wednesday, August 13, between 3:30am and 3:45am.

Two windows were smashed, and damage was caused to the iron security bars on the windows. CCTV has shown that the five suspects arrived from the Kilcolgan direction in a White Volkswagen Golf at 3.35 am and left in the direction of Gort at 3.45 am.

Burglary at Athenry service station

Gardai in Oranmore are investigating a burglary at Joyce's Service Station, Dublin Road, Athenry, Co Galway, in the early hours of Wednesday, August 13.

The premises was broken into, five masked males smashed the front door and kiosk windows. A quantity of cigarettes was stolen. They were in a white VW Golf, possibly the same vehicle later identified as being involved in the Applegreen service station burglary.

Criminal damage in Oughterard

Gardai in Oughterard are investigating the criminal damage to a vehicle that occurred at Pier Road, Oughterard, between Saturday, August 16, from 2pm to Sunday, August 17, at 11am.

The injured party reported that their car was keyed when the vehicle was parked at the pier overnight.

Theft from a vehicle

Gardai in Millstreet are investigating a theft from a vehicle that occurred on Friday, August 15, between 7pm and 8pm in the Raleigh Row area of the city.

The car owner reported that while her vehicle was parked in this area, the rear passenger window was smashed, and a handbag was taken from the vehicle.
