For more than two decades, Mary Kenny, founder of Eden Massage, has been a leading figure in massage therapy, baby swimming, and infant massage in Galway. Through her business, Eden Massage, Mary has helped countless clients, from newborns to adults, experience the benefits of massage, movement, and water therapy.
Her popular Baby Swim programme introduces little ones to water in a calm and playful environment at Ocean Fitness, Salthill. With an emphasis on safety and sensory development, babies are gently encouraged to build confidence and learn essential swimming skills through fun, structured exercises. Galway Baby Swim’s approach ensures that babies grow up feeling completely at ease in the water, “as if they have always known how to swim”.
A new aqua sensory element has recently been added to enhance the experience further. The next six-week Baby Swim programme begins Friday, September 12, with sessions at 10.30am for experienced swimmers and 11.00am for newcomers.
Mary also delivers Baby Massage classes, designed to deepen the bond between parent and baby while supporting infant wellbeing. Suitable for all babies, including those with special needs, these five-week courses guide parents in safe, easy-to-learn massage techniques that help soothe colic, aid teething and improve sleep and immunity.
Classes start on Monday, September 15, at Knocknacarra Church and Thursday, September 18, at Busy Bees Oranmore, with special dad-only sessions launching later in the month.
Mary also offers aromatherapy, pregnancy, lymphatic, and deep tissue massage at Dr Clare Apothecary.
