Criminal damage in Loughrea

Gardaí in Loughrea are investigating criminal damage that occurred at the rear Carpark at The Meadow Court Hotel, Loughrea Co Galway that occurred on Tuesday August 5 at around 10pm.

A Grey VW car pulled into the rear carpark. Three masked individuals exited the vehicle and began tampering with the rear door of a locked commercial van.

Gardaí in Loughrea are anxious to speak to anyone who may have been in the area during this period and observed any suspicious activity are asked to contact Loughrea Garda Station on 091-842870 or the Garda confidential line on 1800666111.

Ballinasloe house damaged

Gardai in Ballinasloe are investigating Crimianl Damage to a house in the Choill Fada area of Ballinasloe, Co Galway that occurred on Wednesday August 6 between 7:30 pm and 9:45 pm.

The injured party left home at 7.30pm , and when she returned she noticed window outer pane of rear patio door shattered. A number of small rocks were scattered in the back garden.

Burglary in Roundstone

Gardai in Clifden are investigating a burglary at Errisbeg House, Roundstone that occurred on Sunday August 10 at around 9pm.

An unidentified male was observed in the boiler house of the premises with a torch, but once disturbed he immediately left the scene.

An Garda Siochana urge listeners to be wary of texts alleging to be from Bank of Ireland, Allied Irish Bank, An Post, Revolut or any text message asking for personal details and bank details.

A legitimate bank will never text, email, or call you asking for your personal details such as your pin, password, or full card details.

Pride Parade — There will be a Pride Parade on Saturday August 16, starting at 12pm at City Hall and making its way to Fr. Burke Park for 2pm.

There will be minor traffic disruptions as a result.
