Residents of Ballybane and beyond can take a proactive step towards their health on Thursday July 17 and 6.30pm as a local registered general nurse is offering free blood pressure and blood sugar tests at Ballybane Community Hub.
This health initiative, aimed at increasing awareness and early detection of potential health concerns, is open to everyone in the community. The tests are simple and quick, taking just a few minutes to complete. No appointments are necessary, and all ages are welcome.
High blood pressure and elevated blood sugar levels are often referred to as "silent conditions" because they can show no immediate symptoms, but over time they can lead to serious health complications such as heart disease, stroke, and diabetes.
Ballybane Community Hub is encouraging all community members to take advantage of this free service to better understand their health and take any necessary steps towards prevention if need be. The hub is providing these tests for free as part of its commitment to promoting health in the community. It is a small effort that can make a big difference in people's lives.
The community hub is situated at 30 Béal Srutha, Ballybane H91 TW27. Parking is available adjacent to Ballybane Library. For further details contact Donal Lynch on 087 1994360.
