The former health centres at both Ballygar and Aughrim will be ready for sale on the open market this summer, the HSE Regional Health Forum was told this week.
Cllr Alan Harney who raised the matter was told that the sales agent to handle the disposal of the properties is to be appointed in the next few weeks.
The former health centres are two of eight properties that have been identified by the HSE as being surplus to requirements.
The formal appointment of the successful firm will be concluded in the coming weeks.
