Parents rave about new Galway Summer Camp

“I have never seen her jump out of bed so enthusiastically in the morning”, says Emma O’Byrne from Limerick, and Emma is just one of a growing legion of parents lauding Ireland’s most creative summer camp.

Inspireland’s much-loved Art & Animation Camps are open to both kids and teens aged 8–18, are designed to create an environment and safe space where everybody is the hero. Their aim is to help young people connect through art and creativity. A creative tribe where all are welcome. Participants explore a wide range of activities including animation, comic art, character design, illustration, bookmaking, and more — all under the guidance of professional artists. The results are there to be seen in the high praise.

“Our daughter had ‘the best week of her life’ — her words,” says Patrick Bourke. “She loves art and this camp was phenomenal. The exposure she got to so many art methods, not to mention meeting wonderful new friends, made it really special.”The friendly, inclusive atmosphere has also left a lasting impression on parents.

“My 13-year-old son attended the Inspireland Creative Summer Camp at LSAD in Limerick and loved it as much as the last time in 2019,” says Sheena Doyle. “The atmosphere is friendly, open, inclusive and hugely creative.”For those a little nervous about attending alone, Inspireland’s supportive approach makes all the difference.

“It was my daughter’s first time attending,” says Eilis Tiernan. “From the moment she arrived, I knew she’d thoroughly enjoy it. She attended on her own but was quickly made part of a happy group of creative children.”
