During this special service, which took place on Sunday, June 8, probationers were inducted as full members of the Schola Cantorum.

Awards for Musicianship, Liturgy, and Vocal training were presented, and it marked the end of another term for these wonderful young singers.

Each of these students demonstrated excellent dedication and commitment, using their musical training and the gift of their voices to contribute in a meaningful way to the monthly services in the church.

None of this would be possible without the continued leadership of St Nicholas’ Collegiate Church’s Musical Director, Mark Duley, along with Dottie Knauer, providing quality musical leadership and a supportive and caring atmosphere for each student.

“We are incredibly appreciative of their continued commitment to the St Nicholas’ Schola Cantorum,” said Provost Lynda Peilow, Rector of St Nicholas’ Collegiate Church.

Recruitment for new choristers begins in September, followed shortly after by auditions. Young people of all faiths and none are most welcome to sing with the Schola Cantorum. For more information, contact Mark Duley via [email protected].
