The album, a moveable feast of Irish culture, will be launched in Galway next week, at Monroe’s Live on Friday, June 20, at 7:30pm.

Originally from Kildare, Quinn now lives in Galway. A highly regarded bodhrán player, he’s been playing professionally for over 40 years and has performed with the likes of Donál Lunny, Van Morrison, the Chieftains and Elvis Costello.

For many years he was a featured soloist in Riverdance’s Liffey Company.

Fleadh Town is all about live performances. It features Brian McGrath on banjo, piano and music direction, Dònal Clancy on bouzouki, Aiden Flanagan on flute, Cathal Hayden on fiddle, Pádraic Keane on uilleann pipes and whistle, Seamie O’Dowd on vocals, guitars, and bouzouki, Alan Kelly on piano accordion and Derek Hickey on button accordion.

This star-studded line-up has allowed Quinn to fulfil a musical vision, with a gathering of friends who are among the best musicians in traditional Irish music.

This choice of reels, jigs, polkas, and hornpipes is a rousing tribute to the genre, played with authenticity and talent.
