Green spaces across Ireland were celebrated last week as the Association of Landscape Contractors of Ireland (ALCI ) unveiled the winners of the prestigious 2025 Professional Accredited Landscape (PAL ) Awards at a ceremony in Carlow. The newly launched PAL Awards recognise the highest standards in landscaping in Ireland and highlight the vital role of sustainable green infrastructure in promoting mental and physical well-being.
Among the standout winners was Galway-based Radharc Landscaping, which secured six national awards across a wide range of categories. Most notably, the company received the coveted ‘Best Nature Friendly Landscape’ award, cementing its status as a leader in environmentally conscious landscaping.
Founded in 1988 and operating from an eight-acre base in Moycullen, Co. Galway, Radharc Landscaping has built a strong reputation for excellence across the West of Ireland. Today, the company employs over 50 staff and serves a diverse client base including universities, local authorities, multinational corporations, residential developers, and private clients.
Directors Brian Whyte and Charlie Hosty attributed the company’s success to its dedicated workforce. “We are extremely proud of our staff, whose skill and commitment to the highest standards have helped us achieve these awards,” they said following the event.
The judges praised Radharc’s winning projects for their exceptional quality and attention to detail, reflecting the company’s broad expertise in landscape design, contracting, maintenance, and nature-friendly practices.
ALCI’s PAL Awards not only recognise outstanding workmanship but also champion the broader importance of green spaces in urban and rural life. Radharc Landscaping’s impressive performance underscores its continued leadership in shaping Ireland’s sustainable outdoor environments.
