Galway Technical Institute will host Emerge next week, a two-day, pop-up showcase of works by art students, from Thursday, May 15.
The opening reception for Emerge takes place at 6pm, featuring guest speaker and artist, Jin Yong.
Representing the next generation of artists and designers, this annual exhibition celebrates the culmination of a year’s exploration, creativity, and growth by students of GTI’s Art Portfolio Preparation course.
Participants of this QQI Level 5 programme, which includes Erasmus+ placements in Malaga, Spain, often progress to Irish and British art colleges. It is designed to provide students with the practical skills, creative confidence, and conceptual understanding necessary for third-level study in art and design.
The Emerge exhibition offers visitors an engaging visual journey through the students’ diverse creative practices, including experimental drawing, expressive painting, dynamic 3D design, and more.
