Mercedes-Benz shows off new van concept

Mercedes-Benz has offered a first glimpse into their concept model 'Vision V'.

'Vision V' is built on the new Van Electric Architecture which Mercedes-Benz say will redefine the privately positioned van and take it into the luxury segment. This future model portfolio will range from practical, entry-segment family vehicles and exclusive VIP shuttles to luxurious limousines with "an enormous amount of space", each in line with different customer requirements.

A spacious open interior comprises a lounge with a retractable 65-inch cinema screen, surround-sound system with 42 speakers, and seven projectors.

Chief Design Officer at Mercedes-Benz Group AG, Gorden Wagener says that Mercedes-Benz vans have been "iconic for decades".

"This show car embodies the perfect harmony between luxury and van design, setting a new benchmark for the future," added Wagener.

Mercedes-Benz plans to start building new models on the VAN.EA platform from 2026.
