Music won't be the only thing celebrated that night, with Jake's recent engagement to Karen Byrne of Dancing With The Stars becoming a major show biz story.
Liverpool-born, and now Dublin-based, Jake has carved out his own path in the music industry as his brother has reached the apex of the country music scene.
He began writing songs at 16, and has since built a career that spans music, dance, and acting. He began playing fiddle, before switching to guitar in secondary school. With his roots in Liverpool, Jake’s musical influences are diverse, from The Beatles, to contemporary pop acts like the Jonas Brothers and Tom Grennan.
His latest EP, Point of You, highlights his progression as a pop artist, featuring tracks like 'Loved Me Like You Do' and 'Milk and Honey', produced by long-time collaborator, Richey McCourt.
“I feel we’ve really found my sound. The EP is a collection of my favourite songs written with a mix of Irish singer-songwriters, blending influences from the artists I grew up listening to with a modern pop twist,'' said Jake.
Inspired by acts such as Harry Styles, Tom Grennan, McFly, and Take That, Jake describes his music as fresh pop with relatable lyrics.
Beyond music, Jake gained recognition for his versatility in the entertainment world, winning Dancing With The Stars with his now fiancé, and taking on acting roles in stage productions.
Now, Galway audiences have the chance to experience Jake Carter’s music on Sunday, May 4 at Monroe’s Live.
