In August 2024, AIB extended the validity period of the Approval in Principle from six to 12 months, offering enhanced support to customers navigating protracted home-buying journeys, particularly those purchasing new builds with longer completion times.
Also in 2024, AIB announced that any customer choosing a self-build home, can now avail of the AIB Green Rate from their first drawdown.
