Kilkerrin-Clonberne's Louise Ward and Sarsfields' Niamh McGrath were awarded the Ladies Gaelic Football Club Player of the Year and Camogie Club Player of the Year respectively at the AIB Club Players of the Year awards at Croke Park last Friday night.

Ward was the catalyst for her team as they claimed their fourth All-Ireland title in a row when they defeated Kilmacud Crokes to take home the Dolores Tyrrell Memorial Cup. She fended off competition from Aoife Kane and teammate Eva Noone to take home the coveted prize.

Sarsfields' midfielder McGrath was immense throughout the campaign, including a player-of-the-match performance in the final scoring 0-6 in their victory over Truagh-Clonlara. It was Sarsfields' third All-Ireland club title in four years.

Kilkerrin-Clonberne were awarded the most players on the AIB Ladies Football Club Championship Team of the Year. The Galway club boasts eight places on the team of the year. Awarded players from the All-Ireland champions were Sarah Gormally, Niamh Divilly, Nicola Ward, Hannah Noone, Aisling Madden, Louise Ward, Olivia Divilly, and Eva Noone.

Sarsfields were also awarded the most places on the AIB Camogie Club Championship Team of the Year with seven players being awarded. Those players awarded were Laura Ward, Maria Cooney, Tara Kenny, Niamh McGrath, Klara Donohue, Siobhan McGrath, and Caoimhe Kelly.
