Labour Galway City Central Councillor John McDonagh has confirmed that the much-needed resurfacing of Letteragh Road will be carried out shortly.
After receiving representations from local residents, including those from Cnoc An Oir, regarding the poor condition of the road, he raised the issue at last week’s Central Area Council meeting.
Council officials have now confirmed that the resurfacing work will take place soon.
“This upgrade will greatly improve road safety and accessibility for all users. I welcome this commitment from the council and want to thank the officials for prioritizing this work.
“I will continue to engage with the community to ensure that local infrastructure needs are met,” said Cllr McDonagh.
With the recently installed zebra crossings on the nearby Circular Road, this will be a great addition to the roads for residents in the area, further enhancing safety and accessibility.
