Connacht Rugby outhalf Josh Ioane and backrow Sean O’Brien have renewed their contracts at Dexcom Stadium.
Ioane, who joined Connacht from New Zealand’s Chiefs last summer on a one-year deal, has extended his stay for another two years.
The 29-years-old Aucklander, who had made 72 appearances in Super Rugby, while also being capped once by the All Blacks, has scored 45 points for Pete Willkin's men – including two tries – in the 10 appearances he has made for the province.
American-born Sean O’Brien joined from Leinster ahead of the 2023/24 season, and plays at either blindside flanker or number 8. The 24-years-old, who played in Ireland’s U20 Six Nations campaign in 2020, has scored three tries in his 13 appearances to date, and has extended his contract for the next season. .
Connacht are currently continuing contract negotiations, and expect to add more additions to their squad over the coming weeks.
