Will You ‘Walk in Pink’ for breast cancer research this Mother’s Day? That’s what the National Breast Cancer Research Institute (NBCRI| ) are asking everyone to help them get one step closer to a cure.
Take a stroll, walk the dog, get together with family and friends on Mother’s Day, Sunday March 30 and help make a difference for the many Irish women dealing with breast cancer.
1 in 7 Irish women will be diagnosed with breast cancer, with over 3,587 cases diagnosed annually. Funds raised from the walk will go directly to support the breast cancer research team at the Lambe Institute, University of Galway.
Members of the NBCRI Galway Volunteer Fundraising Committee are organising the Galway ‘Walk in Pink’ which will start from 10:30am at The Claddagh Hall to Blackrock and back, with music and fun with from Ronan Lardner of Galway Bay FM.
