Fianna Fáil TD for Galway East, Albert Dolan, has welcomed the announcement that Tierneevin National School will receive two new Special Education Teaching (SET ) classrooms. This significant investment comes as part of ongoing efforts to enhance educational supports for children with additional needs in Galway.

Deputy Dolan said: “I am delighted that Tierneevin NS has been approved for these two much-needed SET classrooms. This is wonderful news for the pupils, staff, and the wider school community, who have been advocating tirelessly for enhanced facilities to meet the growing demand for special education supports.

“This development is a clear acknowledgment of the excellent work being done by the principal, staff, and parents at Tierneevin NS, ensuring that every child has the opportunity to learn in an inclusive environment. These classrooms will not only enhance the learning experience for children with additional needs but will also provide invaluable resources for teachers and SNAs, enabling them to deliver the highest standard of education.

“I will continue to advocate for further investment in our local schools across Galway east, ensuring that all children receive the educational supports they deserve.”
