Shop Street

At approximately 2:15am on Saturday, February 15 a man was assaulted close to McDonald’s on Shop Street, Galway. The man was walking with a group of friends when they were attacked by a group of up to ten males. The man sustained serious injuries as a result of this assault.

Burglary in Athenry

At approximately 11:10pm on Thursday, February 13 a retail premises at Cross Street, Athenry was broken into. Entry to the property was gained by breaking the glass in the front door.

Anyone who may have seen any person or vehicle acting suspiciously in the Cross Street area is asked to contact Athenry Garda Station on (091 ) 844 016.

Safe stolen in Briarhill

On Saturday, February 16, at approximately midnight a commercial premises at Briarhill Industrial Estate, Galway was broken into. Entry was gained through the front door of the property. A safe was taken in the burglary.

Car set on fire in Ballinasloe

On Friday, February 14 at approximately 12:30am a White Ford Focus was set on fire at Dunlo Harbour, Ballinasloe. The fire was extinguished but substantial damage was caused to the vehicle.

Anyone who may have witnessed anyone acting suspiciously or have any information in relation to this incident is asked to contact Ballinasloe Garda Station on (090 ) 963 1890.

Female assaulted by a man in Ballybrit

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses to an alleged assault that occurred at Ballybrit Heights, Galway at approximately 5:15am on Tuesday, February 11. A female was assaulted by a male while out walking her dog.

Gardaí are appealing to any pedestrians or motorists who were travelling on the Old Monivea Road or Ballybane Road area between 5am and 5:30am to contact Galway Garda Station on (091 ) 538 000.
