Monroe’s goes back to the Nineties this weekend with a high stakes darts competition pitching locals at pros on Friday, followed by throwback tunes for Saturday night.
This Friday, February 21, three professional darts players will face off in A Night at the Darts. Luke Humphries, the current world number one and 2024 PDC World Champion, headlines the event alongside six-time major winner Jonny Clayton and South African darts sensation Devon Petersen.
The trio will go head-to-head with local players in a night packed with skill, excitement, and entertainment.
Event organisers Hughie O’Donnell and Niall Wynne are thrilled to bring such high-profile players to Galway. “We said we’d bring the big bill to Galway, and it’s incredible to have them all in one spot for one night,” they said.
The event will also raise funds for Claddagh Watch, a volunteer organisation dedicated to water safety and suicide prevention along Galway’s waterways.

This Saturday, February 22, Monroe’s Live transforms into a Nineties dance party, as Smash Hits return once again with their high-energy tribute show.
This Dublin-based band is renowned for its authentic recreations of 1990s' pop, dance, and R&B anthems, featuring hits from Vanilla Ice, MC Hammer, Spice Girls, Prodigy, and Take That.
Since forming in 2009, Smash Hits has become a festival favourite, sharing stages with 50 Cent, MGMT, Faithless, and 2 Unlimited.

After Smash Hits, Monroe’s Late Night Venue keeps the nostalgic vibes alive with resident DJ Flako, spinning 80s and 90s classics until 2:30am.
