It’s always a Perfect Day at CocoCay

Caroline O’Toole, head of cruises and luxury holidays at JWT Travel, introduces us to the beauty and endless possibilities at CocoCay, Royal Caribbean’s private island.

Where is CocoCay?

Perfect Day at CocoCay is Royal Caribbean’s private island on the Bahamas; and one of the favourite stops on their popular Caribbean cruises.

The island has amazing amenities, including 14 waterslides, zipline, seven beaches, five pools, nine dining spots, 20 bars, 116 cabanas and even a Chill Island. Whether you are looking for thrills or to relax, the island has it all and caters for all cruisers.

For families

There is fun for everyone at CocoCay and families with children can enjoy lots of great activities together.

The zip line across the harbour, waterslides of all shapes and sizes, including Daredevil’s Peak (the tallest in the Caribbean ), and the Adventure Pool at the Thrill Waterpark are some of the favourites.

A Caribbean cruise stopping at CocoCay is the ultimate kid-friendly cruise experience.

For couples and honeymoons

A Caribbean cruise stopping at CocoCay is also an amazing option for a romantic escape or honeymoon.

The island enjoys many wonderful settings where you can just relax and enjoy each other’s company, for instance Coco Beach Club, where you can float in the sea while soaking up the sun; book your own private overwater cabana with hammock at Chill Island; or swim in an infinity pool.

One of our favourite spots is Chill Island, with its sandy beach, calm waters, and coral reefs that are perfect for snorkeling. It is just pure bliss.

Weddings at CocoCay

Perfect Day at CocoCay is a stunning setting for a dream beach wedding. Picture yourself saying ‘I do’ with the pristine beaches of the Caribbean as a backdrop, surrounded by your closest friends and family.

Best time to cruise the Caribbean

Late November to May are the best months to cruise the Caribbean, as you will enjoy the best weather. December to April is the high season, so by booking your cruise during the ‘shoulder season’ periods such as November and May you will enjoy better deals.
