The first models of the refreshed Kia EV6 have arrived in Ireland.
The new EV6 features a refreshed exterior design and an improved battery performance. It is powered by a new 84kWh fourth-generation battery which is 8.5 per cent bigger than the previous generation. The EV6 also boasts an extended WLTP range of up to 582km.
Peak charging performance has been increased to 260kW.
In terms of exterior design, the new EV6 showcases a fresh new look with daytime running lights. There is also a flowing character line that connects the bonnet to the lower section of the vehicle.
The colour 'Wolf Grey' metallic has proven popular on other Kia vehicle models and is now available with the refreshed EV6.
On the inside, the EV6 introduces a new steering wheel and dash pad design. The EV6 keeps its panoramic curved display. The wireless phone charging pad now charges at 15W for quicker charging and features Apple CarPlay and Android Auto as standard.
The new EV6 also features Kia’s next-generation infotainment system and connected car Navigation Cockpit (ccNC ), with expanded OTA software updates and upgrades. To further refine driving comfort, the new EV6 features upgraded frequency selective suspension dampers to deliver improved stability on the uneven surfaces. Kia has also focused on reducing motor noise by enhancing the rear motor sound insulation.
The Irish model line-up consists of 'Earth' and 'GT-line' specifications, both coming with the 84kWh battery as standard.
The 'Earth' model comes equipped with 19-inch alloys, LED headlamps and taillights, vegan leather seats, heated front seats and steering wheel, power adjustable front memory seats, dual 12.3-inch infotainment screens, front and rear parking sensors, reversing camera, smart powered tailgate, ambient lighting, privacy glass, adaptive smart cruise control, blind-spot collision avoidance, highway driving assist, lane follow assist, and high beam assist.
The range topping 'GT-line' then adds exterior and interior GT-line styling, 20-inch alloys, intelligent adaptive LED headlights, glass sunroof, heated rear seats and highway driving assist 2 featuring lane change function.
The 'Earth' model is available from €49,510.
The 'GT-line' is available from €54,300.
The EV6 comes with zero per cent finance on both PCP and HP and is available from €381 per month.
Since its launch in August 2021, the EV6 has gained popularity for its modern design and advanced technology, achieving over 3,000 sales in Ireland.
Notably, the EV6 made history as the first Korean car to win the European Car of the Year title in 2022, and also winning Irish Car of the Year in the same year.
