Galway will look to continue their perfect start to the Division Two National Football League campaign as they face Roscommon at Tuam Stadium on Sunday, February 9.
Galway are sitting at the top of Division Two after they edged out Cork by a score line of 2-08 to 0-12 in Tuam last weekend. Both tipped for promotion after being relegated from Division One last season, Leanne Coen and Róisín Leonard got the goals for Galway, while Katie Quirke landed 0-9 for Cork.
Roscommon got their first win of the league campaign with a 3-13 to 0-8 victory over Clare.
Roscommon manager, Finbar Egan, believes his side will relish a trip to the 2024 All-Ireland finalists.
“It is going to be a serious test. They were in the All-Ireland senior final last year but you are only going to get better by playing better teams and we have a very good team this year.
“I think we will give it a good shot on Sunday. Hopefully, we don’t go and admire Galway but instead go and play the way we can play and put them under pressure”, he said.
Galway take on Roscommon at Tuam Stadium on Sunday, February 9 with throw-in at 2pm.
