Gardaí investigate after shots fired at residential properties in Ballinasloe

Gardaí are appealing for witnesses following the discharge of a firearm in Ballinasloe, Co Galway in the early hours of Tuesday, February 4.

Gardaí responded to the reports of shots fired at two properties in Ballinasloe at approximately 3:50am on Tuesday, February 4, resulting in ‘criminal damage’ to the properties but fortunately, no persons were injured during the incidents.

Investigating gardaí are appealing for anyone who may have information regarding the incident to contact them. Additionally, gardaí are appealing to anyone who was in St Grellan’s Terrace and surrounding areas at Brackernagh, Ballinasloe between 3:30am and 4:30am on Tuesday, February 4, and who may have dash-cam or mobile phone footage of the incident to make it available to the authorities. In particular, gardaí are looking to speak with anyone who may have seen a ‘dark-coloured saloon car’ at any of the aforementioned locations during this period.
