Galway city-based SamePage Theatre is taking Mark O’Rowe’s The Approach to the Town Hall Studio next week.

It is the tenth production for the local group, which is just off the back of their sold-out run of Stephen Sondheim’s Company at An Taibhdhearc last October. SamePage was founded in 2017 by Robbie Walsh and Sarah Slevin, and they enjoy tackling renowned playwrights, such as Enda Walsh, Harold Pinter, Joshua Harmon and now Mark O’Rowe.

Mark O’Rowe is an award-winning playwright, and very active in the industry, with his most recent work Reunion running at the Galway International Arts Festival last year. SamePage Theatre are delighted to put their stamp on The Approach, with a local cast and crew involved.

The play revolves around three people - Anna, Cora and Denise, played by Muireann Hogan, Michelle Palmer and Grainne Tierney White, respectively. As the details of what they share begin to diverge, we realise that a subtle game of survival is being played.

The Approach is a play about being human, an exploration of betrayal, and an appeal to listen before it’s too late. This amateur production of "The Approach" by Mark O'Rowe is presented by arrangement with Nick Hern Books.

The production runs at the Town Hall Studio from 12-14 Feb from 8:30pm, and tickets are €14 and available at tht.ie or by ringing the box office.
