The Irish National Photographic Awards run by the Irish Professional Photographers Association and which are sponsored by RSA Insurance will be on display at the Eyre Square Shopping Centre from Monday July 27 to Monday 24 August as part of the Eyre Square Shopping Centre Photo Festival.
The festival will contain several separate exhibits, including one to celebrate the international success of Warner Corporate Photography.
Neil Warner recently received his masters in photography and is only the 13th photographer in Europe to hold a masters. Among the photos, is the picture here, showing the Green Dragon, the Irish/Chinese entry in the Volvo Ocean Race, making a break at the start of the in-port race on Galway Bay.
This image is one of a series of images recently entered in the National Photographic Awards by Galway photographer, Neil Warner. He returned from the most recent judging with nine Awards for his photography; five gold and four silver.
The Eyre Square Centre event will also feature the Irish National Photographic Awards Exhibition organised by the Irish Professional Photographers Association and sponsored by RSA Insurance
The last exhibit will be an audiovisual presentation titled “The Days of the Dragon”, which is a photographic essay centred around the visit to Galway of the Volvo Ocean Race.
