Connacht Hotel Christmas joy for colourful Caitlin

The Connacht Hotel is delighted to announce the winner of its December colouring competition, a festive initiative that captured the imagination of over 500 young guests. Open to all children staying at the family-friendly hotel throughout December, the competition invited participants to draw their favorite thing about the hotel during the Christmas season. The winner which was selected after much deliberation was 10 year old Caitlin McQuillian from Co Down.

The entries showcased the magical experiences of the hotel’s youngest visitors, with drawings featuring festive decorations, Santa’s special appearances, and the much-loved Festive Afternoon Tea. Each creation was a testament to the joy and wonder the hotel brings to families during the holiday season.

General Manager David O’Connor expressed his gratitude and excitement at the overwhelming response to the competition. “We were absolutely blown away by the creativity and talent of our young guests. Each drawing was unique and reflected the special memories they made with us over Christmas. Our staff were so impressed with the standard of entries, and it was truly heartwarming to see the hotel through the eyes of our young visitors.”

The winning entry, selected by a panel of hotel staff, earned a special prize, and the winner’s artwork will now be proudly displayed in the hotel for all to admire.

As part of its commitment to creating memorable family experiences, The Connacht Hotel plans to host similar competitions throughout the year. These activities form a key part of the hotel’s dedication to providing engaging and creative experiences for young guests, ensuring that their stay is as enjoyable and magical as possible.
