Dominican College, Taylor’s Hill, will perform its annual Fifth Year musical from next Thursday, January 23, to Saturday, January 25.

This is a proud tradition upheld by this school since 1982.

The production this year is Thank You For The Music, directed and choreographed by Ms Rosemarie Hosty, with musical direction by Ms Marie Kerrigan.

The story centres on Sophie, played by Sophie Maher who is planning her wedding on a small Greek Island where she has been raised by her single mother, Donna, played by Ruby Kearns who runs the local taverna.

When she comes across her mother’s diary, Sophie realises it may hold the key to who her father is. What better way to figure it out than to invite all three of her potential fathers to her wedding, hoping that one of them will be able to walk her down the aisle, once she figures who her dad is, of course.

The musical is based on the music of ABBA and includes favourites, such as, ‘Dancing Queen’, ‘Money, Money, Money’ and many more, guaranteed to get the audience singing along.

A raffle with prizes such as hampers, vouchers and more will take place during the show’s intermission. Programmes and snacks may be purchased on the night.

Tickets €12 per adult and €8 per student available from school office.
