Local heart charity Croí is appealing to novice and experienced runners to take to the streets of Galway for an 8km (five mile ) run on August 8 on its behalf.
The “Future Streets of Galway Run” event takes place through city streets at 7pm.
The money raised by Croi will help it fund community based projects, such as the recently launched first in Ireland “MyAction” cardiovascular disease prevention programme.
