Connacht Rugby's Paul Boyle and Ben Murphy have put pen to paper on contract extensions to keep themselves at the club.

Boyle has signed a two-year extension, while Murphy has signed on for the 2025/26 campaign.

Boyle has over 100 appearances for Connacht. Since winning the Academy Player of the Year for the 2017/18 season and making his debut in January 2018, he has been a mainstay in the Connacht backline. With 25 tries in 102 appearances, Boyle is the club's all-time try-scoring forward.

Scrum-half Ben Murphy has been one of the club's form players since his arrival from Leinster in summer 2024. He has scored four tries in his last nine appearances.

Head coach Pete Wilkins said that Boyle and Murphy's contract extensions are a "great boost" for the club.

"They have been two of our in-form players this season, and they give you everything you look for in a back rower and scrum-half. Their best days are still ahead of them too, so I look forward to seeing them continue to go from strength to strength,” added Wilkins.
