Gardai are appealing to the public for help in tracking the man who attacked a taxidriver in the city over the weekend.
The attack took place when a passenger turned violent and assaulted the driver as the car was in the Devon Park area at 11.30 on Saturday night.
The driver’s male passenger struck the taxi driver in the face as he was leaving the taxi and left the scene on foot.
In the early hours of Sunday at Abbeygate Street Upper a man got involved in a dispute with two other men.
He sustained injuries from being punched and knocked to the ground in the inclident which took place at 3.25am.
Galway Gardaí are investigating this incident and are seeking witnesses to both incidents
