Paying homage to one of Ireland's greatest music heroes, Remembering Lizzy are set to perform a selection of Thin Lizzy's greatest hits and Lynott's solo work in what has become a special annual tribute.

In 1972, Thin Lizzy shot to fame with their rendition of the Irish folk classic ‘Whiskey in the Jar,’ igniting a career that would define them as one of Ireland's most iconic rock bands.

Fronted by the charismatic Phil Lynott, the band was celebrated for their fusion of rock, blues, metal, and soul.

Now, 39 years from his untimely passing, Remembering Lizzy will take to the stage at Monroe's Live on Saturday, January 11 from 9pm for this annual celebration of Phil Lynott and his work.

Lynott’s talent made him a trailblazer, breaking barriers as an international musician in the 1970s. His lyrics offered a unique glimpse into his life, struggles, and identity.

During their heyday, Thin Lizzy packed stadiums across the UK, Europe, and the US with edgy anthems like 'The Boys Are Back in Town,' 'Jailbreak,' and 'Dancing in the Moonlight.'

Their dual guitar harmonies, raw energy, and Lynott’s songwriting earned them a place in rock history.

Following Thin Lizzy’s success, Lynott pursued a solo career in the 1980s. Tragically, his life was cut short in 1986, but his influence on music remains as strong as ever.

This will come to life with Remembering Lizzy as they perform a selection of the greatest hits and his solo work in what has become a special annual tribute.

Remembering Lizzy offers an authentic and heartfelt homage to one of Ireland’s most beloved music legends.

Tickets to Remembering Lizzy on Saturday, January 11th from 9pm cost €12 and are available at www.monroes.ie
