A rising star in the psych-folk and folk-pop scenes, Saoirse Moncrieff will headline alongside special guests, Dublin-based collective, Sell Everything, at an unmissable performance at Monroe's Live on Saturday, January 4, 2025.
A promising start to what is expected to be a brilliant year for Irish music, the gig will see two of Ireland’s most exciting new talents come to Galway.
A rising star in the psych-folk and folk-pop scenes and the daughter of broadcaster Seán Moncrieff, Saoirse has steadily carved out her path in the music world. Through songs like 'One More Glass of Wine' and 'Love Song', Saoirse explores themes of love and self-discovery.
Her raw, unfiltered performances, delicate harmonies and guitar riffs have garnered a growing social media following. Like many artists, Saoirse was inspired to create music as a way to make sense of heartbreak, and for her, performing is a form of art.
Crafting songs became her obsession, a positive way to channel her emotions, and she has been doing that ever since. With a mystical and reflective quality, she draws listeners into a world of spirituality, wonder, and vulnerability. Inspired by Linda Perhacs, Adrianne Lenker, and the poetic brilliance of Leonard Cohen, Saoirse's work speaks directly to the heart.
Special guests, Sell Everything is a dynamic Dublin collective led by frontman, Tom Kelly. Their sound is a mix of indie, grunge, jazz, and R&B, influenced by artists like King Krule and Bar Italia. Their collaborative approach to songwriting and production creates a fresh energy.
Don’t miss your chance to experience the artistry of Saoirse Moncrieff and the innovative sounds of Sell Everything at Monroe’s Live on Saturday, January 4, 2025 from 8pm in the intimate surrounds of the Backstage venue.
