Gardai in Tuam are investigating an arson attack on a house in the town and have appealed to the public for information on the matter.
On Wednesday, December 4 at approximately 3:00am there was a serious incident of arson at the house on the Dublin Road in Tuam where the front window was smashed and an accelerant was thrown into the house, setting it alight.
The occupants of the house had a lucky escape and had to use a ladder to exit the property from an upstairs window.
The blaze was brought under control and extinguished by the fire services.
