Galway City centre is due to get even more Christmassy this weekend as Tiny Traders returns to open their annual Christmas market in Edward Square tomorrow.
The popular local artisan market known for its weekly outdoor events will be swapping gazebos in Eyre Square and The Spanish Arch for a pop up indoor Christmas market in units seven and eight in Edward Square, (formerly NEXT ) and running every day from Dec 6 right up until Christmas Eve.
It will be the first time the group that champions local makers and producers has ever occupied a retail unit, an opportunity founder and manager Paul David Murphy says the traders are "extremely excited" about.
"The traders are ecstatic, we are over the moon to get an opportunity to open our Christmas market in one of the best retail spaces in the country, these kind of opportunities don't come around too often and we can't wait to showcase our products to our shoppers in such a prime retail area."
Visitors to the Tiny Traders Christmas market can expect the very best in local handmade art, crafts, jewellery, fashion, toys, antiques, collectables, accessories, cakes and more.
Opening hours will be from 10am-6pm every day from Dec 6 to Dec 24.
