The 28th edition of the 'A Season of Sundays' was officially launched ahead of the festive season by the GAA President, Jarlath Burns.
For 28 years, Sportsfile have compiled the standout images of the calendar year captured by their award-winning photographers. 'A Season of Sundays' portrays the magic of the GAA and is the definitive visual record of the GAA season.
Amidst the collection of stunning images, Galway GAA is well-represented. Photos of a supporter in Salthill in March, a hurley inspection between TJ Brennan and Laois' Pádraic Dunne, and the elation of Pádraig Joyce at Croke Park are among the highlight images of the 2024 season.
Speaking at the launch, the book’s publisher and Sportsfile owner, Ray McManus, said: "As the GAA season fades, 'A Season of Sundays' captures the year’s most unforgettable moments and gives fans the chance to relive the excitement."
Uachtarán CLG Jarlath Burns said: "A GAA calendar year would not be complete without the publication of another offering of the eagerly awaited pictorial journey that is ‘A Season of Sundays’ and I am glad to acknowledge this latest instalment.
"Few see more GAA activity – both on and off the field – than Ray McManus and his team of Sportsfile photographers and this year’s edition in no way bucks that trend. The breadth and quality of the imagery captured is - as ever - of the highest standard and bookends another incredible year in the life of the Association."
An ideal gift for any GAA fan, the book is available at bookstores nationwide and online at www.sportsfile.com
